Golden Week Shipping Changes 2025

Golden Week is a busy time in Japan, with many companies taking holiday time or closing for one to two weeks of the year.

Our store will be open everyday, but our shipping partners will not, so online orders will be impacted. Our trading hours also change slightly. See below for further information.

Impact to Online and Shipping Orders from May 3rd

Due to Golden Week holidays and the holiday closure of our shipping partners, all orders placed between Friday May 2nd, 2025 to Tuesday May 6th, 2025 will not be shipped until Wednesday May 7th, 2025.

If you need an order urgently, we advise making the order by Thursday May 1st, 2025.

Please check your email if you make an order during or before this window, as we may contact you for further infromation. Delayed responses will delay shipping times, possibly into (and thus sent after) this holiday period.

Online customer support from us is unaffected by these days off, but will adhere to our reduced trading hours.

Store Hours During Golden Week

We are still open during Golden Week! Please come visit us and learn all about Sakai Uchihamono and kitchen knife culture.

On holidays, our trading hours switches to our weekend trading hours.

As a result, from Saturday May 3rd, 2025 to Tuesday May 6th, 2025, we will open from 10:30AM to 6:30PM.

We are open everyday in this holiday period. Our online support services stay open during this period too, following the hours above.
