June 2025 3-Day Temporary Closure
Sakai Ichimonji Mitsuhide will experience modified trading hours in the month of June.
In order to participate at JAPAN CRAFT EXPO as well as handle some office housekeeping, our shopfront will be closed for three days in June.
This impacts all our services. See below to see how it may impact you.

Closed Dates
Our shopfront will be closed on the following dates:
Monday, June 16th
Tuesday, June 17th
Wednesday, June 18th
Our store will resume normal trading hours from Thursday, June 19th.
Our shutters will be closed, and we will not be accepting walk-in customers during these three days.

You need a ticket to enter EXPO2025 to see our booth. Purchase tickets through the official EXPO2025 website.
Sharpening & Pick-Ups
Please expect delays with sharpening requests during our 3-day closure, as our sharpening team may not be in the store.
Pickups of sharpened knives will stil be available, please call ahead to arrange this.
Pickup of knives purchased through JAPAN CRAFT EXPO will start from Thursday, June 19th. Note this is only if you have selected to not have your knife delivered to your hotel during the JAPAN CRAFT EXPO.
Customer Support
Online customer support will be heavily impacted during this time. Any support requests that come in after Friday, June 13th will experience delays, possibly until Thursday, June 19th. Please keep this in mind if you need any requests from us during this time.
Our English phone support will not operate during this 3-day closure, and will resume on Thursday, June 19th.
Messaging us through our social media/SNS channels will also experience heavy delays.
Web Operations
Our domestic and global websites will still operate during this time, and orders can still be be made.
However, please expect delays in customer support, item shipments, and engraving requests during our 3-day closure.
Orders will not be processed during our 3-day closure, and will resume on Thursday, June 19th.
Shipping
Shipments will occur normally in some instances, and be delayed in others
International shipments will pause during this 3-day closure, resuming on Thursday, June 19th.
Domestic shipments will occur, but there will be delays.
Customers purchasing their knives through JAPAN CRAFT EXPO needing domestic delivery will have shipments proceed as normal.
Customers purchasing their knives through JAPAN CRAFT EXPO needing international delivery will have shipments proceed from Thursday, June 19th.
