Saya sales without linking knives will be cancelled.

Because our Sayas are handmade. We find the perfect saya for each knife by fitting them individually, so selling only saya without this process has risks, even if it is for the knife from our shop. So, we decide to cancel saya order without linking knives. We hope for your kind understanding.

If you order sayas for your Sakai Ichimonji Mitsuhide knife that you bought in former day, please contact us to let us know which series of the knife it is. Then, we'll try fitting it by the knife in our stock. Anyway, our knives are handmade, so it may differ individually. Purchasing sayas without linking knives still has risk. They may not fit your knives, even they are for the knives from our shop. If they do not fit your knives, you need to adjust the saya yourself. We accept no responsibility, exchanges or returns on saya if they do not fit correctly. If you place the order, that mean you accept these conditions.

Saya Sheath

Our sheaths are handcrafted from Magnolia wood by our skilled craftsmen for each individual knife to ensure a perfect fit. This service is only available for knives purchased in-store/online at the same time.NOTE* We do not sell sheaths individually.

A knife store that has supported the history of knives and food culture in Japan.

It has been 600 years since the birth of swordmaking in the Sakai region of Japan. Sakai Ichimonji Mitsuhide's and it's craftsmen continue to build on that legacy by producing the finest blades in Japan.
This is where the culture of completing a dish of sashimi by "just cutting" and the culture of expressing sharpness as "taste" was born.
For 70 years, we have been connecting the spirit of Sakai's craftsmen with the passion of chefs in Osaka's kitchen equipment shopping district, known as the kitchen of Japan.
We are very happy that our knives can be used by people all over the world.
