New Year 2026 Celebration Trading Hours

So that our team can have well-earned break, we will have shorter in-store trading hours on certain days around the New Year's Day period, with some days being closed for business. Shipping dates and times are also impacted. Please see below for the following temporary changes.

Wednesday, 17th December 2025 - Reduced Hours (9:30 to 15:00)

Thursday, 18th December 2025 to Monday, 29th December 2025 - Normal Hours

Tuesday, 30th December 2025 - Reduced Hours (11:00 to 17:00)
Wednesday, 31st December 2025 - Reduced Hours (11:00 to 17:00)
Thursday, 1st January 2026 (New Year's Day) - CLOSED
Friday, 2nd January 2026 - CLOSED
Saturday, 3rd January 2026 - Reduced Hours (11:00 to 17:00)
Sunday, 4th January 2026 - Reduced Hours (11:00 to 17:00)
Monday, 5th January 2026 - Reduced Hours (11:00 to 17:00)

Tuesday, 6th January 2026 - Normal Hours

Normal hours will resume from Tuesday, 6th January 2026 onwards.

Both our in-store and online contact hours will follow the above.

Our shipping partners are also taking a break, so dispatch times will be delayed. All times are in Japan Standard Time (JST - GMT/UTC+9.)

Items purchased from Friday, 26th December 2025 to Monday, 5th January 2026 will leave our store for shipment on Tuesday, 6th January 2026 onwards in order of receipt. Please keep this in mind if you planning on purchasing during this time. Expect longer shipping times also, as shipping companies and international customs will need to catch up on deliveries.

We appreciate your patience as our team rests and recovers during this brief holiday period.

Our normal trading hours are 9:30 to 18:30 on weekdays, and 10:30 to 18:30 on weekends and national holidays. We are open all other days of the year, bar special circumstances.

2025 was an amazing year for us, with ICHITOI taking flight and creating more special events and projects, and our range of knives increasing massively with the Yoi, Jin, and Aya series being particularly popular. We still have so much we want to do though, so look forward to plenty of news from us in 2026 too!

Plus of course, new knives and experiences to try in-store, especially around the world of sharpening!
